Study with me at Brunel
My Brunel MA students in 2022 & co-tutor - Angela Ekaette Michaels (bottom left). There are fee reductions - see end of post.
I’ve been teaching creative writing all over the world for 30 years but the only place I teach now is at Brunel University of London, where I am Professor of Creative Writing. I joined in 2011 and I currently teach the ‘How to Write a Novel module on the MA Creative Writing, and I also supervise PhD students. I’ve won three teaching awards there, of which I’m really proud. I’ve taught widely in the UK including including the University of East Anglia-Guardian six month fiction writing course, ‘How to Tell a Story’ for four seasons from 2011 to 2015 and I taught annually for the Arvon Foundation (check them out!) for about 20 years. Here’s a list of some past international teaching gigs. Yes, I keep excellent records, which means I just cut and paste as necessary.
Top Tip: keep your records up to date - you never know when they will come in handy and it’s your archive!
